Watches are held on an adjustable rotor featuring leather covered soft pads. This slots into cups, which are inset into the body of the winder. The cups are designed to always stop in the vertical position when stationary. The Kairos and Khronos watch winders are designed to fit almost all different sized watches.

Each rotor can be controlled independently using the highly responsive LCD function screen. The collector can control the Turns per Day (TPD) and the direction of movement. The built-in LED lighting system can be used to highlight the watches on display. All the features could also be controlled using the complementary remote control.

All automatic watches need movement and kinetic energy in order to function and charge up their power reserve.  A watch winder mimics the motion of a watch being worn by making a specific number of turns per day. Turns per day (TPD) required for each individual watch will vary depending on what is specified by the manufacturer.
